Synopsis:

Stuart Mason is a successful musician who is now paying the price for years of hedonism, a painful journey to the grave with stomach cancer.

Just when he is about to give up on life, he meets a rookie young journalist named Andre Vettori. Vettori manages to convince Stuart to reveal a secret he has kept for twenty years, an encounter with a woman he met at a bar called Blue Mermaid. It is a story he’s never revealed to anyone, and he recalls it in such a touching manner, it is clear this woman made him who he became, even though he met her only once, and he never knew her name.
